Who We Are
Troop 216 is headquartered in Springfield, Oregon at Northwood Christian Church. Fun with a purpose is what founder Lord Baden Powell called Scouting - and we do both. We focus on outdoor activities, life skills, and leadership development by allowing youth to lead the program.

Our regular meeting time is 6:45 - 8:15pm on Tuesdays. We welcome families to come check us out.

LEADING YOUTH TO LIFELONG VALUES
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

THE SCOUT OATH
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
What We Offer
We offer a low-pressure environment for boys to come together, meet friends, and enjoy the excitement of scouting. We do monthly outdoor adventures for boys to learn camping, hiking, survival skills, and hundreds of merit-badge activities. As boys check off skills required for advancement, they learn the feeling of success and accomplishment as they make their journey to become Eagle Scouts. Along the way boys learn lifelong social and leadership skills as they grow into young men of character.
THE SCOUT LAW

Trustworthy
